Central District (Sonqor County)

The Central District of Sonqor County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان سنقر) is in Kermanshah province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Sonqor.[3]

At the National Census in 2006, its population was 80,304 in 19,927 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 78,282 people in 22,343 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 70,284 inhabitants in 22,109 households.[2]

In 2021, Bavaleh Rural District and Gavrud Rural District were separated from the district in the establishment of Bavaleh District.[6]
